The World Kobudo Federation is a non-political world martial arts organization (Founded in 1991 by Hanshi John Therien)
for Martial Artist and Martial Arts Schools, promoting the highest standards of Martial Arts training, integrity, discipline and honor. Available to all styles, for large and small dojos. Its purpose is to unite martial artists under one umbrella to raise the standards and brotherhood for the advancement of Budo.
There are affiliated WKF schools, in Canada, Europe, United States, Asia and Oceania. WKF organization is made up of all Martial Arts Styles. Sharing knowledge around the world and investing in the quality of instruction and learning is a priority.
WORLD KOBUDO TV is a website TV channel created by JF Thibodeau, Hanshi John Therien and Hanshi Alain Sailly
in june 2020 to broadcast video, seminars, movies, special events online.
WORLD KOBUDO TELEVISION is a platform that will include materiel from differents martial arts from many countries all around the world. Users will be able to watch, share and discover techniques, exercices, forms and history of your favorite martial arts , the life of martial arts pratitioner and the development of the practitioner's spiritual and philosophical development.
WORLD KOBUDO TELEVISION produces, finds, acquires, commissions, and presents all you ever wanted to know about Martial Arts su you can explore martial art philosophies, health, culture and spirituality.

Hanshi John Therien – CANADA
WKF Founder and President
He’s the founder of Therien Jiu-Jitsu & Kickboxing Dojo, established 1968, one of Canada’s largest and most successful Martial Arts school. His school is celebrating 50 years of excellence this year (2018), which is a milestone unheard of in this era and industry.
He has certified and graduated over a thousand Black Belts. Head instructor for more than 3000 active students in the Can-Ryu system.
Co-founder of World Kobudo Federation (WKF). A non-political martial arts organization with affiliates in 32 countries and thousands of members.
He was born in 1958, and started Judo with his father at the age of 5. In his childhood, he trained with the adults, so it was very demanding. In his teens and early twenties he competed at an international level in judo, free style and greco roman wrestling, sambo and full-contact jitsu.
A World Class Martial Artist with movement like no other! Even those with years of martial arts training can not show such a blend of skills at as high a level as Alain Sailly, Master of Goshindo, the Way of Protecting Oneself.
He has a physical education degree from Sport University Vichy.

He’s the founder and the owner of Didakto Communication, established in 2002. He is also Director of security for a public school board in Ontario since 2009 and he is involved with many school Académies in France to share his expertise.
He teached History and Philosophy for 10 years and practiced Karaté Shotokan for many years under Sensei Sylvain Aubé.
He is the co-owner of L'École de Cinéma de l'Outaouais, Isomères Productions and the owner of Didakto Communication
